The Crazy Travel Day

Introduction

    In this essay I’m going to tell you all about how we got to Scotland from Ecuador. In total with all the flights and stops it took twenty seven (27) hours to get all the way from Ecuador to Scotland. So yes, it was basically more than one (1) day.

Quito to Madrid

    On our last day in Ecuador, we had a flight to Edinburgh which is a city in Scotland. Our flight was at 06:00 PM so we had almost all day to pack. We left at about 03:00 so we had 3 hours to get through security and everything. When we got to the airport we checked our bags and went through security. Also when we got to our gate we still had like an hour and a half so I read a little bit and played games and then it was time to get on the plane. In the plane we got some pasta and beef for dinner and a little cake for dessert. And then since this was an over night flight they gave us pillows and I think everyone fell asleep. A few hours later it was all of the sudden light outside. It was because we were in Madrid, and Madrid’s time is ahead of Quito. So everyone had to wake up. And the total time of the flight is 10 hours and 15 minutes.

Madrid to London

    When we got in the airport we checked which gate our next plane was at. But when we got there, it said that we wouldn’t be able to see where are plane was until a certain time so we waited. While we were waiting we looked for a playground because I was bored and my sister was bored. And actually, we found a playground but it was pretty small so my sister was the only one who played at the playground and me and my mom just watched her. Soon we finally found out where our plane was and so we went to our gate. And then after waiting a little while we got on our plane and flew to London.

London to Edinburgh    

The London airport is super big. And since we had 7 hours there, we headed straight to a restaraunt to have dinner. And then we found a little play place so I played for a little while while my parents got some coffee from a coffee shop. Then we walked around the airport a little bit and found a place to sit. And we picked this specific spot to sit because there was a screen right next to us that showed all the departures. Our flight was getting close. And soon we found what gate our plane was at. And so we went to our gate and started boarding to go to Edinburgh. Once we got to Edinburgh we took a taxi straight to our house. When we got to our house, our host was already waiting for us there.

They’re actually kinda nice, for 3 reasons. 1: your’re not wasting any of your time on your trip. 2: It goes super fast because your’re just sleeping. And 3: They usually give you a little pillow and blanket even if you are not in first class.
